Air NZ/Heritage Hotels help New Zealand rock the AFCI Locations Tradeshow in LA

The consensus among the New Zealand team was that this year’s AFCI Locations Expo, held at Disney Studios, was the best yet. For the first time the show was linked in with the (PGA) Producers Guild of America ‘Produced by Conference’ which made for some great connections. The Air New Zealand/Heritage Hotels competition to win a trip to New Zealand meant that the New Zealand stand was a real focal point.
A winner has been chosen and results of the competition and more details will be posted on our website later this month. Our thanks to all the companies and individuals (here and in the States) who helped us with digital material for the stand.
Producer Murray Francis sums up the New Zealand experience in LA by saying: “Overall this was the best locations expo ever held with really positive meetings, with really positive people. The location was great… and the Air New Zealand competition was a winner with the crowd on the day.”
Michael Brook from Film Auckland agrees, “It was the best yet, we had a great team representing New Zealand and our regions, and it was an excellent co-operative effort. The event was really helped by being part of the Produced By Conference and the number and quality of enquiries was much higher this year.”
