Film New Zealand seeks industry members for Board of Trustees

Film New Zealand’s Board of Trustees is seeking written expressions of interest for additional industry trustees to join current trustees and management in implementing the plans and strategic directions of New Zealand’s national film locations office.
Applicants should have experience in and an understanding of:
- The screen production industry;
- International screen production in New Zealand;
- New Zealand screen production industry capabilities;
- Governance or equivalent experience and/or skills in the screen production industry.
Applicants are expected to contribute to the Board’s deliberations from an overall industry viewpoint, irrespective of an individual’s own area of involvement and separate individual business aspirations with the business of Film New Zealand.
Film New Zealand seeks to expand the range of skills and experience on the Board by inviting interested applicants involved in (i) marketing (ii) business management (iii) location scouting &/or management, (iv) line production management. Film New Zealand is also seeking to ensure that its Board represents the screen production industry throughout the country, with a balance of people with experience in feature films, television and television commercials.

Applications close 5 October 2009.
Expressions of interest should be sent marked ‘Confidential’ to the attention of the CEO at either the above email address or by mail to PO Box 24142 Wellington, or delivered in person to 23 Frederick Street, Wellington. As a guide, your expression of interest should cover some or all of the following:
- Current position
- Industry experience
- International market knowledge
- Knowledge of New Zealand screen production industry capabilities
- Governance or equivalent experience and/or skills in the screen production industry
- Availability to attend approximately 6 Board meetings a year held in Wellington, Auckland or in the South Island on an expenses only basis
- Names and contact numbers of two referees
- Your own contact address, telephone numbers and email address.
