Film New Zealand Announces New CEO: Press Release

Film New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of Judith McCann as the new Chief Executive.
Judith McCann has an extensive background in the screen production industry including Executive Director of the New Zealand Film Commission and senior roles in film organisations in Australia and Canada.
"Film New Zealand is thrilled to be in a position to appoint Judith, who will bring to the role a vast knowledge of the film industry both in New Zealand and internationally," said Sue Thompson, chair of Film New Zealand.
"In her return to New Zealand, Judith will bring with her not only remarkable experience but also a myriad of connections from around the world."
Judith McCann will be taking up the appointment in July.
In the meantime, Louise Baker will continue as acting chief executive.
Ms Thompson paid tribute to the work achieved by Louise Baker. "Louise has skippered Film New Zealand with considerable skill during a time of change. She has played a pivotal role over a crucial period for the organisation."
Louise will work with Judith for a three-week hand-over period and will then exit the organisation.
