The Workplace Support Administrator is an important part of our team responsible for the smooth running of our workplace premises.  This hands-one role reports to our Resource Manager.   

With a focus on our physical working environment, our facilities and the health and safety of our people and visitors, you will provide support to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

We are looking for someone who can manage a variety of tasks over the course of a day and has the flexibility to respond to changing priorities. This role is busy and varied where no two days are the same. 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proven administration support experience in a similar role (3+ years)
  • Proven experience in facilities management including health and safety within an office environment (2+ years)
  • To be articulate, confident, well-presented and enjoy ensuring that all who enters our offices are well looked after
  • To show initiative and demonstrates high-level professionalism with an attention to detail
  • To have a strong customer focus, with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to quickly build great working relationships with a wide range of people
  • An adaptable and flexible working style
  • Strong computer-based skills, including a high-level proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Proven ability to maintain discretion, professionalism, and integrity in your work environments
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Reo
  • High energy and passion for delivering quality outcomes
  • A commitment to a culture of equality, inclusion and diversity

Selection Criteria

  1. Proven recent experience in a similar administrator or coordination role (3+ years)
  2. Experience in health and safety and facilities administration
  3. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong customer focus and the ability to build relationships with staff and stakeholders
  5. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and be digitally savvy including exposure to databases and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  6. Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Reo
